Not generally my cup of tea, but I enjoyed that. Thanks.
And thank you for bringing her to mine.
Love to hear a a SRV version too!
My brother gave me an SRV CD a few decades ago. It was the first birthday present he gave me. I have kept this album with me ever since.
His videos used to play on MTV and even though we have very different musical tastes, my brother and I liked his sound and look since the Very First time we saw him playing “Couldn’t stand the weather”.
I heard this on the radio this afternoon while getting supplies. Man, almost forgot about it; fun old tune.
Another old favourite. In honour of my late wife, for whom I felt this to the core.
Old guy reminiscing out.
Ended up in Detroit somehow…
Because, well, Bloodest Saxaphone, a groovy jazz blues outfit from Japan meets Texas…
I saw him on his Australian tour in 1986 supported by the Fabulous Thunderbirds, which included a duet with brother Jimmy as an encore. The only show I’ve been to that even came close to the same energy was The Pogues. Amazing.
Someone sent me this, and I wasn’t expecting THAT!
She’s good!
Edit: Oh, she has other talents too, along with the rest of her family!
Bought the CD yesterday. Good stuff. Simply fun to listen to.
Damn… I’m well down the dulcimer rabbit-hole now; I may be some time.
I wanna be sedated with a dulcimer
Hmmm…depending on the method of application. Not upside the head, please.
Man, is she ever. I never even imagined bagpipes being played like that.
Kicks ass.
Yep! And it turns out there’s a lot of videos of her doing that.
Be careful!
