Thanks to Rob’s salaryman disco dancing video. Youtube’s algorithms worked well for once. I have been watching some Pizzicato Five videos.
Groovy.

Before kiss:
Nice!
Maybe some indigenous influence or appropriation going on there?
As little as I know of Mr. Matogrosso, I bet more on an influence / tribute / assimilation / cultural anthropophagy (a local cultural movement from the 1920’s).
I remember being scared (and puzzled/amazed) of the cover of their very first album.
Anyone else familiar with aeseaes?
Just because we need a laugh: (NSFW, like fro realz)
And because we are not weird enough (yet)

Oh, shit. That should be an awesome show. Looks like pre-sale for Seattle is tomorrow.
ETA since I can’t post another message.

For Seattle, good tickets were gone almost instantly - and I was in the virtual queue well before 10AM when the tickets opened up. Every time I selected seats I was beat at checkout so I ended up with first balcony. Kinda sucks, but I am hoping that since it is as much a multimedia exhibit as it is a music performance that it’ll work out fine. I’m not a huge fan of The Moore but it’s not a large venue so even crappy seats aren’t going to be that bad.
Of course after the initial rush died down, some good seats materialized on the floor but I am just sticking with the seats I already bought. There’s still a few dozen seats left on the floor and first balcony ranging from ~$100-200, and GA in the second balcony for around $60.
Western US shows go on pre-sale today. TMBG Flood 30th anniversary.
ETA oh fuck, oh, fuck. I just got an alert that New Order and Pet Shop Boys are touring North America and tickets go on pre-sale tomorrow. RIP credit card.
