this is a great read. @Horse_ebooks always reminded me of the box building AI from Bill Gibson’s “Count Zero.”

I still remember when I found out that “Dan Sinker” was actually just a mayoral candidate’s publicity stunt.
Almost no one commenting on this has pointed out that everything over 2 years old from @horse_ebooks actually was a Russian spambot. It was already getting popular at that point, but it only really took off after Bakkila bought it. Like, everything here is authentically an algorithm sifting through books about horses. The whole thing feels like something Bruce Sterling would think up over breakfast.
