I don’t like to pull the “I remember” card on boingboing, but it is kinda sad to me. I remember when Boing Boing would be talking about how cool it is a guy developed a personal flight device like this and methodically built and tested it over the course of nearly 2 years, documenting his whole process. That this would be a great piece on maker culture and how he constructed this craft with clearly more safety rigor than the FAA has for the 737MAX.
I miss that kind of take on these kind of things. It shouldn’t take me having to dive into the guy’s history and channel to figure out that he’s doing a very neat project and is extremely safety conscious and aware.
