DCCC introduces No-More-AOCs rule

Interesting. If so then it’s kind of an extra-party collusion to keep their seats. There’s probably something the party could do about it, but of course they almost definitely lack the will. I’m a party loyalist, but never liked the DCCC and have shut them off for donations for a decade or more simply for their heavy-handed telemarketing. We just donate directly to candidates when we want to now.

That’s basically it: a “club” more or less for House incumbents to help each other get reelected. Much like the DSCC to let senators help each other to get reelected. The DCCC is not something we should be contributing to, it’s only real purpose is to convince those in safe seats with large war chests to help their colleagues that are struggling.

Seen in this light, the rule changes serve only one purpose: to coax Dem representatives into ponying up more by promising that the funds won’t be used against them.
