Fair enough. What always surprises me is that these businesses can still get loans under those circumstance. Why are/were lenders still willing to do that? “Private equity firms buy failing businesses and suck them dry in a managed collapse” was (though not through debt) already well known enough to be the frame story for Pretty Woman back in 1990.

Mutliple repeats of the plot of this book are about to happen.
