Personally I think it’s obvious that @beschizza seeks to kneecap anyone who isn’t Lincoln Chafee.

The election is over Rob. Your candidate lost. Get over it!

Now, I’m not a regular reader of the socialist worker, but it is food for thought.

Many years ago, the frequent “bathing without soap” posts made my list.

(To the point that I’ve edited this comment to carefully not express any position on the topic so as to avoid reigniting those fires.)

Sigh… that’s why I’ll never be President.

In the past, people who hate “guys with a totally rockin’ bod” kept me out of grad school.

29:45 - Wraps up, JD admits he’s biased pro-Gabbard. Briefly discusses Warren.

Editorial note: I fucking hate what Twitter is, as an institution. If it burns down tomorrow, nothing of value will have been lost.

I she’s a serious homophobe, she’s NOT a “moderate”. That’s like saying she’s seriously antisemetic but she’s a moderate. No.

Whoa… wtf happened in this thread during my commute home?

Yeah but she’s a _good-looking_homophobe and transphobe _And that makes her electable in this shambles of a democracy.

Since joining Congress in 2013, Gabbard has supported efforts to promote LGBT equality, including co-sponsoring pro-LGBT legislation like The Equality Act, a bill to amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act to protect LGBT individuals.

So there’s that. However…

And I held views growing up that I no longer hold."

That’s … tricky. Science of Identity Foundation seems to be a very high-control group that is extremely homophobic. They also have a disconnection-style policy towards dissenting members or people that leave, and yet there are still quite a number of SIF members in her life. That seems unlikely without some kind of dispensation from leader Chris Butler.

I must say that they do quite a good job of keeping out of the news or burying stories. The way they shredded a New Zealand MP who made the mistake of commenting on them outside of parliament (and privilege) probably served as a warning. They hire the same lawyers as Scientology.

She does? She supports the war on terror, which includes the drone bombing of people at weddings and the extra judicial murder of American teenagers. That’s not sane, because it’s done nothing but exacerbate an already tinderbox region.

Good idea. Here tell that it is easier to catch fire when you bathe without soap.

“Notorious homophobe?” uhhh … in your head maybe. Character assination much?

Agreed, but…

Are there any candidates other than Jill Stein who don’t?

Gabbard’s foreign policy position is far from perfect, but so far it is notably superior to anyone else in the Democratic contest. If nothing else, her candidacy is valuable for the attention it can draw to the issues of imperialism and war.

I didn’t have the time earlier to give this one the acknowledgment it so clearly deserves:

Well done, sir.
