Demolition of derelict robotic parking garages reveals entombed vehicles, trapped for 15 years

Yes, but the only ethics that the owner had were Scientology ones, the same as Tom Cruise uses, and quite different from the normal meaning:

It’s Britain. The reports are currently in the 15th department of their 20-department journey through official channels.

Brazil is a documentary, right?

Yeah, it just seems a bit odd that once the garage was well into its use, they would still have half-a-dozen cars sitting around taking up space.

Ever driven a Yugo? They’re terrifying! Poor brakes, poor steering, dreadful gearbox…
Worst car it’s ever been my misfortune to have to drive.

I gather that was sort of the problem. The venture didn’t go well and the owners went into receivership. So, presumably it never got busy enough that they needed those bays.

Plus, where else would you keep them?

I mean you’re going to need test cars for any time you change the system, etc. so you will need suitably ‘damageable’ vehicles. Which you will need to store somewhere. And you happen to own a car-park…

I’ve had a few cars in my life I’d like to have left in a car park …

Now I’m curious how many of those robotic underground bicycle storage units have abandoned bikes in them.

And how many bodies zip-tied to bicycles there are. (Probably wouldn’t work if they weigh the package.)
