Every time I think Dick Van Dyke can’t get more awesome as a human being he proves me wrong. While certain others keep digging past rock bottom he continues to reach new heights.

I still recall when Dick Van Dyke was the guest on “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.” Peter Sagal idolizes Dick so much that he (Peter) was barely coherent. It was very moving.

His cameo in the newer Mary Poppins movie made me cry. I was 8 when the original film arrived.

I hope his eye is OK, and that I am doing as well at 97.

Same goes for Rod Serling. That speech and its sentiments are still important today. Two wonderful people.
