You don’t really think you’re going to get much sympathy from someone who played hockey with a broken pinky toe soon after the broken pinky finger healed (and still played hockey with that, too) do you? Or maybe I just have high tolerance for broken bone pain? IIRC, the broken rib did leave me sitting on the bench for about two weeks out of the 9 weeks it hurt? Is it weird that the shot in the lower jaw I got at the dentists office last week hurt more than any of my recent bone breaks?

(You have definitely garnered my sympathy for spending an entire day at a mall with teenagers; how did you survive it?)

Don’t people in North America generally only add the modifier if it is field hockey? Would you be surprised that there are prior indications pointing to it being Ice?
