Did you ever want to play questions?

(Over share alert: did you know two weeks ago my blood pressure was 170/115, and yesterday it was 118/70? And it is caused by you mutants?)

(Aaaand perhaps rumchata >:)

After my recent hand injury, I spent a lot of time focusing on my rehabilitation, living off my savings and I have to admit, being on a budget has not been that difficult for me. In fact, now that i think about it, thatā€™s pretty much the driving force behind this push for some kind of radical change.
I was really into theatre and sound production when I was younger but it paid my rent and not much more. The fact Iā€™m seriously considering a move to a (very) foreign country as an ā€˜inā€™ is mostly driven by the absolute boredom Iā€™ve experienced in the last decade involved in various IT jobs (anyone else ever worked in Big Oil? It suuucks). Is it unrealistic of me to expect to just uproot myself and land on my feet on the other side of the world?

I can talk myself up a storm. Interviews are my bitch butā€¦ damn, I want serious change. Or, you know, the first foot on a path to it.

OK, so itā€™s late on a Friday here (in Scotland) and Iā€™ve been drinking. Love you all and am probably worrying the corners unnecessarily. But I have seen the power of the hive and respect it thus.

Itā€™s not impossible as Iā€™ve done it 4 times now, but donā€™t you think it would be better to sort out visas, work permits and even employment before you leave?

And if it all goes Pete Tong belly-up, you could be left with no real employment history and limited opportunity to rebuild? If that worries you, then maybe you should consider other options? Or if it doesnā€™t worry you, then you should go for it?

ā€˜Pete Tongā€™ is acceptable nomenclature from dese heah pahts.

And yeah, my last adventure was in my late twenties. Lived off the fat of the land in the interim andā€¦ feeling like I should just fuck off somewhere. Know a guy who emigrated to NZ recently. Went down a treat for him apparently. He eventually came back to marry a girl but, well, wasnā€™t it was quite inspirational?
