Did you ever want to play questions?

Is it odd that I miss doing dishes by hand?
I grew up in a house with no dishwasher and now I find it a nice way to relax and clear my mind in the evening.

Am I not giving this to you for two reasons?

What is the M2 Music Committee, which seems to have a shitload of entries on the NARA website but no real details on what they actually did?

Isnā€™t this a prime example (made moot by the fact itā€™s restricted)?

https://catalog.archives.gov/id/5022756?q=music

Who knew NARA had gobs and gobs of records?

Because of:

M2 Music Committee - Requests for Musical Gifts - 1966
Creator(s): U.S. Information Agency. Office of Private Cooperation. 1953-1970
Access Restriction(s): Restricted - Fully
Specific Access Restriction: FOIA (b)(1) National Security, Secret

Iā€™m inclined to think that it implies that they were handing out top secret, bugged musical instruments to dignitaries in order to spy on them. Makes senseā€¦ no?

Can I confess to really enjoying splitting wood for similar reasons?

(Do I mean in the mind clearing sense? Wouldnā€™t it be neat though if I could somehow relate it to not having a dishwasher?)

Could you relate it to not having a hydraulic wood splitter?

Isnā€™t that the only job that makes you warm twice?

Am I inviting you over anytime to do mine? (Having worked in a restaurant doing dishes, Iā€™m not sure Iā€™ll ever be sad not to do more of them.)

So, have you learned your lesson about dining-and-dashing?

Donā€™t do it when itā€™s a slow time at the restaurant? Make eye contact and pretend things are normal? Choose restaurants that have the bathrooms near the front door?

Wait, are there other lessons I should have learned?

How is it that I was able to cull over two dozen books from my shelves in preparation for packing? Didnā€™t I just do that within the past couple of years? Should I be sad about how easy it was to get rid of them, seeing as I had once paid good money to buy the darn things?

But isnā€™t it a good thing that Iā€™ll be donating them to the library so they can either add them to their shelves or sell them to make money to add more books and movies to their collections, which I can then borrow for free?

And by ā€œfreeā€ you mean ā€œtheoretically if I return things on time which never happens and so theyā€™re naming a new wing of the library after meā€ ?

Didnā€™t some of us have moms who made sure to impress upon us the importance of returning library property in a timely manner, thereby allowing us to avoid the embarrassment of being fined for overdue materials?

Isnā€™t Laibach amazing live? Didnā€™t they whip out the old hits for the encore? Didnā€™t I finally get to tanz mit laibach? Didnā€™t it feel like a god damned time warp straight to the 90s?

And didnā€™t one of us grow up in a college library that his dad was the director of and so took the wrong lessons from the experience?

Am I allowed to be extremely jealous?

Why wouldnā€™t that be allowed? Wasnā€™t I right up front, too? Wasnā€™t I smart to wear ear plugs for my old ears?

Wasnā€™t I bad when and didnā€™t use ear plugs when I finally got a chance to see Man or Astro-Man? live a few years ago now? Was it totally worth the hearing damage?

Neumos, a couple of years ago?

Before that at the Crocodile. Nuemos show didnā€™t work out. Was I sad I found out at the last minute Goblin was playing there a few years ago and it was well and truly sold out?
