Aren’t we all a little old to hang out at a craft beer bar, especially because not all of our children could be there with us? Isn’t this something I just want to be able to offer in the comfort (hah!) of my own home?

Did you know that, when I click on their best-of list for Illinois, about half of the list is my usual go-to choice: Goose Island? Wasn’t it a sad day a few years ago when they had to sell a majority interest to Anheuser-Busch?
edited to add: Guess what I learned? Indiana acquits itself so well that 3 Floyds ranks very high at the national level, so why wouldn’t I get some of their offerings locally while we’re there for the next few days? Wouldn’t it be better to get the beer while the beer drinker is there to offer preference ideas? And why hadn’t I ever heard of 3 Floyds before?

I realized the real barrier is the reading requirements, so I now have 16 solid days of unread posts in my history. Grind much?

Edit- That didn’t make sense, did it? I read all posts and comments for a solid 16 day stretch in my history page.

Should I admit that I’m trying a little experiment based on that thread? Will it make a difference if I just click on all new threads for a moment, not really reading most of them? Especially since this thread alone probably covers the 25% of all posts read requirement?

See the little blue dots to the upper right of new posts as you scroll down to them?
Those are the read/unread marker. They have to fade onscreen to mark read, in my experiments.

Wouldn’t the Sculpin be pretty hoppy for German tastes? Wouldn’t the Pale Ale be more in tune with the usual German sensibilities? Though if they like hoppy, wouldn’t the BP Dorado be even hoppier? But aren’t all the BP ales pretty nice? Isn’t their Victory at Sea pretty tasty, and 10% alcohol, though it can’t decide if it wants to be a stout or a porter?
