Did you ever want to play questions?

Wasn’t it odd that the green card holding MrsTobinL got a summons from both the city and county before I did?
Also why did my parents get a summons like clockwork when the they were eligible again and I never got one at all till the day before I was gonna get in the car to move out to Seattle?

Didn’t I pass on the money the one time I have been called? Even the commute subsidy as I took the bus cause I had vacation to burn and it was only 2 days? (plus a chance to have lunch at some of those awesome downtown places I normally don’t get to eat at)

Isn’t it a joy to be in a room with a TV only displaying a spinning LG logo as a screensaver? With nobody complaining and most people reading? Maybe these people are my peers after all!

As much as I’d like to use public transportation, how is it that doing so to travel the 20 miles to my university would take two freaking hours, not to mention having to leave the house at 05:40, then take 2 buses, a train, then another bus? Is it any wonder I can’t get rid of my damn car?

Freaking suburbia, how does it work?

Do I not look at jury duty with equal parts of fascination and dread?
Was my last call to duty mostly consumed by dread? Who was among the first (of ~400 pool) to be cast out jury selection for a multiple homicide gang-banger capital case where the prosecution seemed to be only using witness information from folks that made plea deals? Did the Pastor/Priest/Reverend who got released with me say that we should go find a place to have a drink?
Does Compton have a surprisingly decent jury duty experience? Does wifi and convenient free parking help? Are the staff much more friendly than downtown L.A.?

@japhroaig - is this a pretty simulation of your desktop when you test stuff?

Wasn’t I surprised the first time that I read an article about the cut-throat competition for shelf space in the chip/crisp aisle?

Have I only ever been called up once, empanelled, it was for a 2-week malpractice suit, I filled up my juror’s notebook and started another – but wasn’t I only an alternate?

Was my only actual court case a simple solicitation case where the untrained young police woman from the office pool seemed to have jumped the gun on signalling the arresting officers? Did it feel like borderline entrapment? Did the jury give the defendant’s lawyer a victory in his first case ever? Could I have argued his case better than him? Perhaps?

Isn’t this pretty much the reason I take the car/motorscooter for my commute? Plus isn’t the gas mileage on both such that even with maintenance cost it works out to be the same?

Perhaps whale watching on the upcoming trip to BC is a bad idea?

Ever been to Vancouver? Can you tell I’m happy that the wife found a mistake fare so we’ve got the flight sorted ($10 from LAX to YVR - yeah! AUS to LAX on air miles)? If I die as killer whale food, would it still be worth it?

Whale watching obviously, right?

Have I ever been to Vancouver?
(MrsTobinL is from there and it is only a 2ish hour drive from Seattle)
All kinds of cool stuff to do in that city… Do you like gardens? Aquariums? Food? Tea?

What if I really liked gardens, aquaria, tea, and (vegetarian) food? How does the aquarium there compare to the Monterey Bay Aquarium? Are there otters? Can you find wild otters there without needing to go way off the beaten path?

Do people die from whale watching often?

Not better than Monterey Bay but I have a few pictures here and yes they do have otters, will you be treking over to the island at all?

How do I frame a question that states that the aquarium looks cool? Otters? Otters!?
If our plans were still nebulous, would going to the island be a good idea for a fairly short trip (4-5 days)?
