The guy failed to figure out the torpedo that was larger than its launch tube was a Polaris ballistic missile.
A few years earlier, I got a toy sub equipped with wheels to roll along the “ocean” floor, complete with spring loaded torpedoes, ballistic missiles (colored red like this toy’s) and maybe some tiny crewmen and battery powered lighting.
