All of the Texan rancher/Farmer types I know say ‘Kubota’ with the same reverence as they talk about their 2A rights. John Deere really fucked up to lose this group.

John Deere is now to farmers as my biker friends suggest Harley Davidson is to them. A famous brand more popular for the image than it is for utility, and priced in a manner that makes it difficult or impossible for the key audience to actually purchase.
