I used a few online relative value calculators to see estimated value and it looks like that $1 in 1986 would be around $2.50 today, so that’s an amazing run, really.

Just change it to Dollars Tree, then the price can go up to anything.

What’s the big deal? Coke did it for 70 years. /s They even tried to get the US Treasury to mint a new coin.

I guess Dollar Circa 1986 Adjusted for Inflation Tree would be hard to cram on a sign.
