True. Nothing is perfect, but the introduction of the cash register receipt did reduce the number of people complaining. There used to be a second roll as well, that was the owner’s copy, a logfile of that till, you could say. Some stores would actually look at it to glean info from it, but most used it just to make sure the cashiers weren’t pocketing change. I suspect that has been now made electronic, since it was for internal use only.
