Doormats woven from old firehoses




These already exist, and can be bought from the Exploratorium gift shop in San Francisco.


One hundred and seventy-five dollars.
For a doormat.
That people wipe their feet on and the neighborhood kids steal as a prank.
It doesn’t even seem like the nap of the cloth would grip your soles very well to clean them.
Is this reasonable, or am I just too poor?


This is a great idea for my local volunteer fire department! The Kickstarter $175 thing is pretty crazy though.
