Since when can you contract yourself out of local laws? The contract might specify that you’re liable to be prosecuted in the U.S., but the Iraqi government isn’t a signatory to that contract, so the domestic prosecution would be in addition to whatever Iraq deemed appropriate.
This type of shit only makes us look worse to the people we’re supposedly jockeying for the hearts and minds of.
