I know that “we” love to think that actions like that are somehow detrimious, but fans of authoritarians love that kind of shit. For them it actually is a legit use of power and the right thing to do, tolerating, even accepting, peaceful dissent is just a sign of weakness.
Only when an authoritarian order oversteps and starts banning something that’s actually dear to their fan base they get into trouble.
