Hard to see how today’s attacks advance these causes beyond revenge.

It is likewise hard to see how the current state of affairs was getting them anywhere, though.

I think “Fear Gaza invasion “ is aiming a bit low. I fear it will be a moment of “Genocide is only bad when it happens to us, not to other people” and the total erasure of the Gaza Strip.
