So let’s take your preferred version of events into account. Let’s say Musk didn’t write this email. The general attitude toward progressive social welfare, maternity leave and paternity leave included, is abysmal among the corporate elite. My statement was pretty general, and didn’t hinge on the specific truth of this anecdote. Just because* he may not have said it out loud, doen’t mean the attitide isn’t there, and doesn’t shine through in actions and policy support.
*this whole “Just Because” thing is starting to have real bbs game potential…
I’m baffled that you think many people accept this as fact. We’ll never know the truth if the situation unless a suit comes public. We do sympathize with the potentially fictional scenario, in that it reflects real world people and attitudes that DO exist. Consider the reactions here projected towards the worst of humanity that we have encountered and not an “affront” to someone most of us will never meet.
Then please enlighten me oh great one.
I hope you’re not talking about what he said about that UK TV host who trash talked the Tesla.
Edit : Nevermind, “completely phony” is what he called him or his show.
So what is it? Please do enlighten me.
Are you employed by Musk? What makes you doubt the veracity of the quote? Is it because no rich billionaire head of a company would say it or just that he wouldn’t say it where it could be quoted?
That’s a bit more than I expected. (AC or DC?) But not That Much More.
I should ask colleagues (or do a research) if there are “cross-platform” charger modules/BMS systems. A car that can be fed from anything from a house socket to a dedicated station to a random unstabilized-output solar/wind power plant would be a fun thing to have.
All the chargers I so far saw were wall-socket capable. What I am not sure is if they are also capable to feed from such charging stations… Which may not be something to rely on, as the currents will be higher and the parts beefier and more expensive, which the cheap Chinese vendors generally dislike.
A possible strategy here is to have a modular charger that can be swapped at will, and once the infrastructure shows up and there are actual charging stations appearing along the roads, upgrade. It is likely that by then the BMS/chargers will be considerably cheaper than they are now.
Worked for too many assholes (and had friends who did the same) who said the exact kind of thing he’s accused of saying. Rich CEOs pull this shit all the time.
