When we were kids we called 'em Horny Toads & wondered why any teen-agers nearby
started laughing.
Much later we referred to 'em as Horned Toads. Never called 'em frogs, though.
Everyone knows frogs hang out in/near water and toads don’t. Not much water in West Texas.
Michigan J. Frog wouldn’t be able to get away with that now, with everyone carrying a camera with them. He’d be a youtube star whether he want to be or not.
