On a related note her book Syllabus is wonderful. It’s mostly the syllabus from her cartooning class but it’s a great general book about creativity. My wife and I buy a few copies from D&Q every year to give to people.

The book first came out in 1988, and was an off-Broadway musical in 1991, so…perhaps the band is a fan of Barry?
