YES! This thread has really got some angular momentum going, now!
I’m inclined to… er, ah, I’m just catching up to a degree.
So, this has to be a joke / mem that’s going around, yes? because what practical reason would you have for doing that?
There we go. Some trouble getting the gif to show up correctly. Perhaps my monitors are too level.
I don’t see it.
it’s kind of a joke… maybe an in joke
a tall thin monitor is good because code tends to be around only 80-120 characters wide. at the same time, it’s really nice to be able to see files side by side sometimes, or to see your file and documentation or a website - which is something wide short monitors are better for
sometimes you really want one, and sometimes you really want the other, and nothing’s ever quite right… at 22 degrees you get a little of both. and it’s ridiculous
like @jarnsaxa, ive got one tall, one wide, a laptop for griping, and a phone for listening to music and checking messages. ( which is also ridiculous )
This is exactly my office setup
There’s an idea. Why a static orientation? They should spin really fast.
a virtually circular display. I like it!
Extreme POV hacks.
