This means that Instagram wants to curtail false information about vaccines, but not ban people who identify as anti-vaxers or publish anti-vaccine posts.

Well there’s the problem. There’s no difference between those two things.

You don’t fix a sinking ship by painting the leaking holes a new color, you plug the feggin leaks!

Hmm. That’s an odd phrase. It doesn’t show that there is any reason to expect progress.

Don’t believe for a second that Facebook has done anything about getting rid of anti-vax rubbish. Just try reporting a page or post. You get back the usual “does not violate our community standards” rubbish.
Facebook will do nothing while these large groups continue to bring in money for it.

Plus, I assume, that “anti-vaxxer” and “flat Earth” posts serve as a good way to hoover up account info for the important, “highly-gullible” flag used by their targeted marketing.

“Hey, we see from your history that you don’t understand the scientific process; maybe you’d be interested in buying these holistic healing energy crystals and this self-help course from the Alex Jones University of States Rights.”

Has anyone seen any studies about whether or not #InstagramKills?

What else could we say Instagram does because there are no studies disproving it?
