I was lucky enough to study under Yvonne Andersen when she was the head of the Animation program at RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) back in the early 80’s. As a child growing up in Massachusetts in the 60s/70s I got to see several of the films made by kids at the Yellow Ball workshop broadcast on local TV. When I met Yvonne years later it sort of blew my mind.

One can also see the direct influence on later artists like the ones who created Brickface and Stucco for MTV’s Liquid Television.

I’m still at a loss as to who these creators were (not the MTV execs, but the actual producers of the shorts). Does anyone have any info?
