Public Health professions aren’t infiltrated by white supremacists, not at all.

feature or bug.
It amazes me when I meet someone for whom “offensive” is only true when they agree it is. People so entrenched in a belief that their reality is an objective one, their truth the truest, and behave as though their intent matters, to the exclusion of their impact.
The best things about life exist only in the realm of the subjective. i feel awful for anyone so cut off from that, and I will struggle against those who seek to crush subjectivity and humanity out of our existences through legislation or conversation. I won’t be nice about it either, but I wont be so unkind as to disrupt a conversation about bird foot orientations on nazi memorabilia with a discussion of my feelings.
They may well not intend to be hurtful, but also clearly they do not intend to be kind.
(this mentality of objective truth over subjective reality is very much is on topic for the discussion of the attitudes of law enforcement officers (among others) who do not intend to be kind to those they disagree with, and ‘other’ them reflexively)
