This is an interesting issue. As much as religious zealotry is mocked for its irrational reliance on belief in place of science, it seems odd that investing public resources in honoring the bones of long dead beings is legitimate. I live in a city that dragged all its bones away a long time ago. Doesn’t seem to make much difference.
It seems to work for certain other agencies.
