I’d much rather know the weather the day I was conceived. Who’s with me? Hello? Is this thing on?
Apparently it was a mild, gray, late-summer day. I was born at two minutes till 11 in the morning. I’ve always told my mom she should be grateful I let her sleep in.
Very cloudy, warm, 82 degrees F, tornadoes… which is how my cat and I ended up in Munchkinland.
Actually, it was drizzling with a high of 50.5°F. And nothing in B’klyn could ever remind anyone of Munchkinland.
Looks like 40 was a relatively great birthday, though! Warm(er) and dry!
I wish them good luck on that! I don’t think I’m immune to trackers, but most sites don’t really get much off of me. (VPN, cookie deletion, uBlock Origin, etc.) Again, I understand caution and agree people should make their own decisions about it, but not really worried about that one. (Else I wouldn’t be logging into BB or most other places either.)
-5 C. Snowy according to the site.
According to mom: snow storm, dad had the only 4 WD in town (very small town in central Nfld/Lab.) Born at 3:15 AM and 2 months premature. 2 Kg weight. Looked like a skinned rabbit according to dad.
Especially if you’re using a portmanteau of your siblings’ birth dates.
Not wanting to put my hometown and birthday into a random website, I chose to ask teh gubmint instead.
It took a few attempts to persevere through the random 503 service unavailable errors, but I was able to get the US NOAA website to email me weather details for the day in question. Sadly, they only recorded precipitation and temperature min / max / peak measurement at time of recording in my hometown back then.
96°F and bone dry. Unsurprising for the summers I remember growing up.
Edit: misread the legend in the csv, should’ve realized I made a mistake when I typed both max and peak!
But first…
Let me guess, nine months before I was born?
It was Cumbria.
If it wasn’t raining then it was cloudy and threatening to rain. I don’t need this site to tell me that.
Do you have any siblings?
Speaking as a parent who does occasionally get major life moments mixed up between the kids!
You say this while sporting a cake today…is today the day? Should we post a treat for you in the cake thread?
I do, but it was 59 and sunny when he was born.
I am having cake today, and I can report that today’s weather is so changeable, that whatever they report, it will be right for about a minute.
It’s the answer to the most common “security” question.
Happy cake day!
People use the real answers for those security questions? That’s an interesting approach.
When I help older friends set up security questions they always say they can’t remember thier first pet or dumb questions like that.
The look on their face when I tell them it doesn’t matter just remember your answer.
