No cap.

Not that the way he looks is the biggest problem here, but…

Wow.

In exchange for serving as CEO, Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) offered to indemnify Mr Jeffries for any claims arising out of his position with the company

When this is a key part of your contract negotiations, shouldn’t it be a HUUUUUGE red flag to someone in legal that this guy is a boat anchor?

No, those clauses are pretty common in corporate American executive contracts. But it means that they will indemnify him against things he did that were part of the normal course of his job. So, say someone sues A&F for false advertising or something, and it turns out the CEO signed off on the advertising in question, and the plaintiffs name both A&F and the CEO as defendants. That probably wouldn’t happen specifically, but you get my point, I hope. Anyway, in a case like that, if the plaintiffs won and the CEO were found partly liable, the corporation would pay any legal fees or fines, per that indemnification clause. These clauses are essentially standard in business employment contracts.

This asshole’s problem is that in no fucking way was sex trafficking part of his job. Now, he’s probably going to argue that because the trafficking complaint arose out of a company sponsored event, it is in the course of his job, but that would be akin to murdering your competitor’s CEO and trying to say you were just trying to get a leg up on the competition.

This claim that it was part of an official event and therefore part of his job didn’t work for the orange twatwaffle either.

His ever more bizarre attempts to look like an 18 year old California surfer do have some bearing on the problem of this jerk’s management style. The retail outlets were notorious for following the CEO’s dictum that only pure young Aryan-looking specimens (of the same type that were procured for his personal desires) could be hired as sales clerks and managers.

I recall hearing about that nonsense. What horrible excuse for a person.

“Pimpercrombie and B!tch” hits a little too close.

Ah, that makes a lot more sense, thanks.

in no fucking way was sex trafficking part of his job.
