But I’m very confused here! Being a good Mormon, one should, without proof to the contrary, assume that this outfit was a possible gift for his wife. So where I get confused is that I can’t figure out how it would be worn with the traditional Mormon undergarment. I always feel like when someone says, “Don’t joke about X” the immediate reaction is “But if I, personally, don’t make a joke about X right now then society will surely fall to tyranny”.
I think you can joke about just about anything, at the proper time and in the proper context.
Outside of that is poor taste.
I agree, it’s just a question of people’s judgement about the proper time and context. I think too many people hear “You shouldn’t joke about that” and react by thinking “You can’t tell me what to do!” instead of thinking, “Maybe that’s generally good advice.”
