While the game concept itself never interested me enough to want to play it, I do find their choices for what they do with the avatars is freaking awesome.
Itās too bad Rust tends toward a puerile gank simulator. I once tried vocally ecstatically enjoying any damage done to me, telling aggressors how big and strong they were. (It was almost entertaining that way)
I wonder if the recent resource spawn tweaks will enhance or relax the homicidal tendencies.
I did, and have been thinking about buying that as it also looks like a lot of fun. Right now I am having too much fun with Fallen London though.
I have been flirting outrageously with Devils (male and female) causing all sorts of scandal, sweet-talked my way into Society, become a detective for the constables while simultaneously ascending the ranks of the underworld, fought my way up through the underground fighting rings, and Iām currently carrying out archaeological expeditions in the Forgotten Quarter which contains the remnants of a previous stolen city. The way the game works, there are always lots of stories playing out at the same time and interrupting each other, with a choice of what you want to pick up at any given time.
Theyāve done something interesting where thereās a way to tie the games together tangentially if youāre playing both. For instance you can find various things in Fallen London that you could give to a Zee-captain and have it turn up for your next captain in Sunless Sea.
Reminds me of Agar.io although not quite as intense.
I just snagged an alpha key to Overland.
Looking forward to having a play tonight.
Just had a quick glance at it - plays pretty much like youād expect if youāve read anything about it - a bit like FTL in structure. I think the fun will come from the stories that emerge as you play.
A Shadow of the Beast remake???
I think Iām with the commenter who says
Ah, Eve Online. The greatest game I will never play.
Either this, or Dwarf Fortress, I guess.
I like reading about Eve.
Rocket League is far more solid and enjoyable than I expected. (Free weekend and sale currently running on Steam.)
No as that is how they got me addicted to Borderlandsā¦
Did you see thereās a Borderlands 3 coming out?
Havenāt played this yet, but it looks interesting. Some of the Ludum Dare games have been pretty good in the past, I remember.
Sweet! Though I will probably wait a year or so till a steam sale takes at least down to $20ish bucks because I am cheap.
Still farting about with the Overland alpha. Enjoying it a lot, and the process of helping with the alpha testing.
Also bought the Steve Jackson Sorcery! trilogy on iOS, just started that yesterday, think Iāll enjoy it. Although Iāll suck at it.
Finished Transistor, playing around with Bastion, not liking it as much but itās okay.
Incidentally, if anyone is interested in this, they are apparently releasing a few more keys for the alpha in a few days.
Iāve been playing Epistory, which is a very pretty and atmospheric typing game. Iām digging it so far.
Apparently itās crap. At least thatās consistent with the original.
