I’m sure you meant ‘venomous’. :sunglasses:

Is there a gif for Bugs sawing off the Central Valley?

Yes, but was it his INTENT to burn it down? That should count for something.

Do not harm spiders. Anansi is your friend.

Yeah but would you blame him for using fire to kill black widows?

My brother-in-law does this. So far, successfully.

Personally, if spiders are where I don’t want them I’ll catch them and put them outside.

I will straight up murder a wasp though.

Looks like someone is competing for the Pedant Pendant.

Not numbering in the hundreds in a single abode.

It’s odd that the traditionally “creepy” animals are the most helpful. Spiders, snakes and your little bat friend there. People will kill any of them on sight and then complain about the mice, flies, mosquitos and ticks. I think there’s some real validity to the idea that it’s bad luck to kill a spider.

Except Brown Recluse, Black Widow, et al.

In my house, I try to ‘capture and release’ spiders that aren’t known to be harmful whenever possible. There’s a ton of Daddy Long-legs around my way, for instance, and they help keep the rest of the pets to a minimum.

If I ever saw a brown recluse or black widow in my abode, though… I’d probably be moving, posthaste.

Knowing the the difference between literally and metaphorically literally saves lives (or at least property). :grinning:
