Ah, but will using easy mode break my streak in the app? I’m at 1174 days as of today.

Games Magazine has had something like this for years “The World’s Most Ornery Crossword” has a big grid with a separate page containing easy clues, which you can hide by folding the page.

Would love it they had “look, it’s four letters. You know it’s fucking Oreo or aloe - just pick one” as a clue.
As a non-American that’s fine with looking up the answers to US-centric questions, but would rather not, having access to an alternate set of clues looks like a much better compromise.
