I remember seeing part of a weird 1970s tv show that talked about the strange little un-get-rid-of-able parasites what live on our bodies. One in particular ahem stuck with me - the mites that live at the base of each eyelash. Sometimes when I get an itch right on my lash line, I scrub at it gently while saying, “Goddamn it, Kevin/Lisa/whatever! Stop making me itch!”
This amuses hell outta my BF, esp after he finally asked me to explain what I was on about

Of course, those are just the mites that have evolved to mostly get along with us.
CBC Radio Quirks and Quarks once had a series The Bugs Who Love Us on all the critters.
