Well okay, this guy with a good idea isn’t quite giving it back, but he’s on the right track. And his idea could be catching on.
Aside from Marlon Brando, I wonder if any USians have done something like this.
Reminds me of a song by another Canadian . . . do they generally have a less stifled conscience than USians?
As with all things, variation casts far for both vast groups, but yeah, my anecdotal experience is that Canadians tend toward a less ego-nationalistic identity, which allows more phase-space for compassion for their ancestors’ transgressions.
But that’s speaking from a privileged position of a SWMurican, and so I advise taking with a grain or thousand of salt.
