"God has given Trump authority to take out Kim Jong-Un," says evangelical Trump supporter

The problem is both our leaders are complete egomaniacs who take the slightest provocation as a challenge to their godly perfection. “Back down” isn’t a concept either of them understand.

Oh intangible sky father, is there anything we can’t justify with your name?

They MIGHT be able to get with something surgical say at a rocket or nuclear facility. NK knows that if they shelled SK it would be over. And as crazy as Kim Jong-un is he likes being alive.

But yes, thanks for bringing that up. Japan and South Korea ARE with in striking, and one wouldn’t want to risk our allies. CHINA doesn’t want any more US troops on Asian soil than it already has. This has been their stance for decades. And we are now huge trading partners with them. THEY don’t want us there. WE don’t really want to be there. If there was a serious threat from NK China would HAVE to intervene. For one they provide something like 90% of their trade goods, so they have the clout. For two they don’t want anyone else in there getting closer to them.

Mutually Assured Destruction is this guy’s code word for “The Second Coming.” I am sure S Korea is comfortable, considering that N Korea has accurate artillery ranges for Seoul and can decimate them with conventional means.

Your brother needs help, man.

IIRC the Bible itself says no one knows but God. So anyone claiming otherwise is a false prophet.

Well, I suppose it’s one way of getting someone else to pay for dealing with the brown tree snake (Boiga irregularis) problem. Make Guam Great Again!

Precisely.

One darkly humorous aspect of this is the gross mismatch.
US defence spending 2016: US$606,233,000,000
NK defence spending 2016: NK₩123,200,000,000 (~US$140,000,000 … or about 0.02% of what the US spends)

Due to that mismatch, Drumpf has managed to make the US look like a weakling by engaging with NK at all, let alone doing so childishly and as if NK were an equal. What’s that old saying? Never wrestle with a pig; you’ll just end up muddy, and the pig will enjoy it.

But they need to go somewhere nice, have a chaperone, and be back by 10 o’ clock. I am thinking of having a party for them at Chuck E. Cheese.

Very optimistic, given the propensity of American presidents to attack whomever they like with no declaration of war in sight.

If anything good comes of the Trump presidency, it’s that I hope that people will finally twig to why strict limits to power for elected officials are a Good Thing.

I’m not holding my breath or anything.

This has all gone very depressing.

I know what’ll cheer us right up!

Look who else had permission from God.

“This is not necessary Mr. President, we have a diplomatic solution.”

“Mr. Vice President, Mr. Secretary, the missiles are flying. Hallelujah, Hallelujah.”

And of course some random guy from TV would obviously know that he has the one and only correct interpretation of the Bible. His attitude is the world is going to end next week so give me your money now before its too late.

That’s fucking filthy. I thought I couldn’t hate those scumbags one iota more, but that did it.

Just remember that not all of 'em are like that.

Maybe if the last three presidents had not kicked the NK can down the road for twenty four years, the current egomaniac would not have this decision sitting on his desk.

24 years? I thought the Korean War ended in 1953.

NK was turned into a problem by our government in the 50s. If you are holding fake standards who who should have felt with it you need to go a little further back.
