Thanks but unfortunately Google made a change to the settings. Instead of “show annotations, channel promotions, and interactive cards on videos” you now just get -
They’ve removed the option to turn off the cards.
“None of which interest Google, so they disappear at its convenience.”

All of that was totally within Google’s gift to fix.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
No, the reason we can’t have this nice thing is because Google couldn’t be arsed anymore. They’d rather move fast and fuck other stuff than send a few moments fixing the stuff they previously fucked.

Good. The vast majority of annotations were simply awful and did nothing to improve the video watching experience.

I have something very similar in my filters, but damned if I can remember where I got it from. Best filter I ever enabled, though, was 86ing the comment section.
