Interestingly (?) that word originally (in 1899) referred to Filipinos. It has shifted its use over the decades, moving from a slur for this Asian group to that Asian group (and to Nicaraguans!).

It’s only a coincidence that it resembles that Korean word, kuk (국).

Don’t forget that Dick Gregory- Black comedian & activist who just died- wrote an autobiography titled Nigger
Titled such for a reason also.

Yeah, what the fuck. If that book title has to be blotted out for sensitive eyes, so does the title of this movie.
