Google “Lying for the Lord” and discover that in some evangelical factions, “Real Truth” is what brings people to take up their religious views, and anything you say to promote that action is actually “more true.”
Furthermore, defeating evil is the primary mandate, so telling a lie to further that cause is actually a virtue, not a sin.
Once you’ve encountered prosperity gospel, you find you really can’t rely on the Bible or Jesus to understand these people.

Oh, man, these guys would hate Jesus. A brown skinned Middle Eastern man espousing socialist values, attacking bankers and the wealthy, offending the religious leaders. Yeah, he is absolutely public enemy number one. Or would be, if they knew anything about him.

Somebody in the area should visit the same mini-libraries she has, and replace all her Bibles with some classic banned books. Thinking To Kill a Mockingbird, Animal Farm, 1984, Of Mice and Men, etc. And also throw in some positive books about inclusivity.
That’s my idea of “replacing bad books with good ones”.
