And now he’s got some water inside the tire. I don’t know about car tires, but bicycle tires don’t like water at all.
Still pretty cool.
That was pretty cool, thanks, but
NOT the simplest solution.
Sounds like Spock works for Apple.
This looks WAY easier than using an air compressor. Such an elegant solution. Good thing he had that air compressor handy so he could borrow parts.
- Water inside a tire is really bad news once the temps drop below freezing.
- The TPS sensors are somewhat waterproof, still wouldn’t want to be have a sensor sloshing around in water.
- Maybe just fix the tire…
Coming next week: Water your garden with an air compressor!
Oh… these comments are just as funny as 'd hoped they’d be. Thank you Boing Boing Readers. Today, I gave you all likes.
With Harbor Freight tools, that “Boom” is often literal.
I kid, I kid.
Cool, but he shouldn’t use that cheap-o pencil-type tire gauge. Not accurate!
how many bottles would he need if he added dry ice to the party?
Actually, could he just fill the tire with dry ice?
“One pound of dry ice will produce about 8.3 cubic feet of carbon dioxide gas”
but at what pressure? i’ll leave it to someone more qualified to do that math
I’ve got this foot pump I always carry in my trunk.
And the stainless steel blocks tapped to hold the bottles are something everyone has lying around in the garage, right?
Off the top of my head? Too much pressure. You would need to regulate it.
