Meanwhile, seawater temperatures off the coast of Florida have hit 101 degrees, “the hottest sea surface temperature ever recorded on Earth.”
the chart for the north atlantic looks like mirrored to the icesheet one;
sidenote; a few days ago there wasnt a toprow marking 26 degree. fucking insane.
edit/ the anomaly-map shows that the rough area formerly known for the famous “cold blob” has become a “hot blob” with more than 6°C anomaly in the center. I wonder if this is connected to AMOC;
