I’ve long speculated that color-changing paint, or coatings like this, would be great for “getaway” cars.

I want to see what the hood looks like after the engine’s running for a little — no water involved.

It might be interesting to park it under a tree in the sun to see how it patterns…

What this video needs is MORE DRAMATIC MUSIC!

Take it to a hand car wash where they use hot water and watch the workers flip out.

For some reason i wasn’t all that amazed by the hot water making it green, but when cold water turned it back to black I was super impressed. That was the real magick

Even knowing what was going to happen, this was cool.

10-year old in me wants to take the car to a hand car-washing place and watch people’s faces as the car turns green under their wash-cloths.

It has to end with one giving a slightly startled look as you see the newly green car, then a shrug.

“Eh, these things happen”, as one gets in a drives off.

Those opening credits were a who’s who of 1970s pop culture: Ricardo Montalban, Jim Nabors, Charles Nelson Reilly. Good stuff!

They really were. I intentionally linked to the timestamp where the Jim Nabors credit was popping up.

But, holy bejeezus, that song is awful.

Not super-reliable, especially if the car color is more distinctive at first (e.g. it’s covered in dirt, so you’re really visible until you get it to a car wash, unless you’ve got an accomplice with a firehose.)
