I never think to turn to flagging - and end up engaging, and it is usually fruitless.
My worst experiences in these forums have been with people who may have disagreed with my comments, or simply not like them, projecting meaning on to my statements that was not intended and in my opinion not there. I clarify, receive more projections, rinse repeat.
Such situations are difficult to flag as a matter of mis-behaviour may be shades of opinion. My gripe is once I have clarified, and the mis-representations persist, in that case we have strayed into poor behavior, as in a form of mild trolling, that should be moderated. Yet these situations rarely stand out as flags.

is a hard policy to enforce properly. At the same time, most people think they are better than they actually are at recognizing intent. Once you’re in a situation as you’ve described, the easiest thing, and best for personal mental health, is to disengage and go for a walk.

I’m not griping about getting moderated (it was deserved), but I am a bit confused about the order in which things happened. As seen in the picture below, both posts were removed before they were hidden. Is this system lag in the automatic notices, or was the mod response pretty much instantaneous?
Again, not complaining about the moderator action, just curious about the order in which I got the notices.

my only gripe in having my first post in 9(!) years removed ( for being off topic ) is that i will probably never surpass that streak again.
