The automatic self-adjusting ones I swear by are the long-nose/compound types like this:
Jokari 20050, or Knipex 12 62 180, or OTC 4467 (lost my user ID, so no link for you!). These are all a similar design very different from the one mentioned in the article. The ones I have currently are the Jokaris, and I’ve used another brand many years ago which I forgot the name of.
Unlike the ubiquitous ever-popular type of self-adjusting stripper described in this article, this design actually works, even with the tiniest flimsiest wires, which the automatic type described in the article would mangle beyond recognition. Like everyone else who tried to use these clumsy heavy monstrosities, I went back to cutters/X-acto/teeth until I found the Jokaris which finally replaced the old, trusty forgotten-brand ones I lost/was robbed of (!).
