If someone showed up to pride in Toronto with a rifle there’d be a rapid arrest a serious effort to detain him at least until pride was over. But the overlap between Open Carry and gay pride in the US is surely non-zero.

Yep. But the cops did arrest him, partly because he was sneaking around someone’s house at night (or like early in the morning) and he had some weird stuff in his trunk…
I’m not sure anyone has figured out what he had in mind, if anything, though.
