I’m at level 25 now, and it doesn’t get easier. I only throw Ultras and Greats at things I care about and want to make sure not get away. Pokestops spawn so many regulars that I just use as many as I need to, or the pokemon runs away.

Usually I’m okay with keeping enough regular balls to manage and only use the ultra/mega for things I really want. The problem comes up when I go farming. Downtown Round Rock has four stops I can hit from a street corner that are always lit, so there’s a constant influx of (mostly common) Pokémon. I wind up using way more balls than I can collect, and usually leave with few.

Fortunately you still get the XP points even if your bag is full. So at least it’s not a total loss.
