Today in 1967 the Supreme Court ruled in Loving v. Virginia that
“Under our Constitution, the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual, and cannot be infringed by the state,”
It’s sobering to realize that when my wife was born her parents’ marriage was illegal in almost half the States in the Union.
